Olympics at Indus Aurangabad



Indus world School celebrated sports day as ‘Indus Olympics’ on 17th December 2011 at their school playground in frolicsome atmosphere.

The event began with a well coordinated march past by the students of different classes. House Leaders hoisted the flag and lighted the torch. The event was marked by colorful drills with exciting events including hurdle race, sack race etc. Everyone watched with abated breath as boys of grade V, IV and VII performed a gymnastic show and yoga asanas. A unique legged race was held especially for the parents of the school.

The prizes were given by the grandparents of the students of Indus World School. Head Mistress Ms. Namita Parthasarthy thanked the parents for attending the event.

The ground reverberated with feverish enthusiasm as the teachers and the parents excitedly cheering the students, voicing the spirit of oneness among all.

Chota Bheem At IWS, Raipur




Indus World School Raipur celebrated Kids carnival on  17th  Dec and 18th  Dec 2011, with 268 kids.
 The event was organized in association with (Green Gold Animation) Creator Team of Chota Bheem from Hyderabad. The company’s earlier shows helped it understand Indian kids better and based on those inputs, it managed to come up with Chhota Bheem.Chhota Bheem is now rated as the Number 1 children’s show from India.
"Indus Kids Carnival" was a gala event dedicated to the city's kids.Entertaining activities, performances and games were organized ensuring people had a great fun on Saturday & Sunday.
Entering with the music of his soundtrack, Chhota Bheem left no stone unturned as he gave the kids a fun filled evening by playing games and quizzes with them. Chhota Bheem joined the large group of kids present at the venueand gave them his favourite watches,Bands,Key-chains,Face Masks,Stickers etc. It was a total fun treat with a twist of education for the kids - in Chhota Bheem style!
 There were various activities planned during the "kids carnival".There were several games for the children. There were games like Dholakpur Vs. Pahelwanpur (20 -20) Cricket or Feed Kalia, Tug of War or Lemon on Spoon, Musical Chair with Chhota Bheem, Dholakpur Interactive Quiz King for the Day / Queen for the day Contest.
As this was the first visit of Chota Bheem to Raipur, the  response was tremendous. The visitors got the opportunity to meet Chota Bheem and also get a photo clicked with him. 

There was complete fun and happiness all around for these two days. There was no end to the enjoyment of children. IWS looks forward to more such funfilled events for children.

Indus World School celebrated its annual event ‘Infinity 2011-12’ at their Jhalaria campus on 23rd Dec. Theme of this year’s Infinity was ‘Incredible Madhya Pradesh’. Reviving the rich culture of Madhya Pradesh,children presented various programmes. Program began with lighting of lamp by renowned artist Smt Shubha Vaidya, a member of advisory committee IWS, was followed by various colourful shows. There were classical dances to folk dances. Story of Madhya Pradesh would be incomplete without Singhasan Battisi, so there was a play on the same. Who can forget the brave daughter of MP, Rani Durgavati? A play was also presented, based on the life of this brave lady. Not only was this, the hard life of MHOW and the rich textile heritage of MP also exhibited during the show.

An exhibition was also put up here by the children; where different models were presented. There was a scene of village put up which was made live with the presence of children as live characters, goats and all that is there in villages. A cave was also made. The exhibition was one of its kinds and was appreciate by all the parents.

Presenting the annual report to the parents, Principal Mrs Smita Rathore shared the achievements of the year and plans for the next year. Chirman Mr. Shiva Kumar during his address to the parents told that IWS will be putting all efforts to provide an excellent career oriented academic delivery for students of class eleventh.

Indus OLYMPICS, IWS, Gurgaon


Indus World School Gurgaon, organized its third sports day; The Indus Olympics 2011 at its new Sector-70 Campus. At Indus we believe in the holistic development of the child and sports have always been an integral part of our curriculum.The participation of every child makes it even more enriching . The event was so inclusive that students with special needs also participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. From the tiny tots of the Play Group to the Grade IV students, all exhibited a wonderful and power packed performance in the different fun races , flat runs and relays. The students of Grade I onwards had competitive races too.

 Mr. Sujit Bhattacharya, Director IWS, inaugurated the event that also marked the launch of the new school campus at Sector -70 Sohna road.

The entire event was very well  co-ordinated by students. From anchoring to co-ordination on the tracks, the students of Grade II and IV did a splendid job. There were interesting races for parents, grandparents ,mentors and support staff.The spirit of sportsmanship was all prevailing!
