Manthan 2012
organised by Indus World School in association with ‘The Times of India –NIE’
was held at Yashada in Pune on 8th December 2012.
The literal
meaning of “Manthan” is “to Churn”.
Churning was what was done with the Teachers from all around the city who had
come together that day. The objective of the initiator Mrs. Jayshree
Venkatraman( Principal, IWS Pune) was to get out the “BEST TEACHING PRACTICES”
followed by teachers across the city.
The event
was a grand success. The event was a wonderful time of sharing of the different
practices that teachers use to make learning easy and fun for children. There
was a lot of learning that happened for all the teachers who attended the seminar.
Some of the practices that were shared were Mind mapping, 21st
Century curriculum etc.
The Best ten
presentations were awarded by the “Nachiketa Award”.
Manthan was
a churning out of the Best teaching practices from some of the best teachers.
